Our new website scores 100 out of 100 on Google’s PageSpeed Insights. That’s a satisfying number to look at, but it’s not the point. The point is what the number stands for: a site that loads almost instantly, holds still while it does, and doesn’t make anyone wait. Here’s what sits behind it.
What the score actually measures
PageSpeed rolls up a set of real-world metrics — how quickly the main content appears, how soon the page can be interacted with, and how much it shifts around as it loads. Google calls the headline ones Core Web Vitals, and they’re a direct search ranking factor. So speed isn’t a vanity metric competing with SEO; it is part of SEO, and part of whether a visitor stays.
The stack, layer by layer
There’s no single trick. A fast site is a stack of good decisions, each shaving off a little:
- Enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure running LiteSpeed, so the server responds fast before anything else happens.
- A global CDN, so files are served from close to the visitor rather than from one location.
- Self-hosted fonts, so type doesn’t wait on a third-party request.
- Images converted to modern formats like WebP and sized properly, because images are usually the heaviest thing on a page.
- Minified, deferred CSS and JavaScript, so the browser isn’t blocked while it renders.
- A lean build with a tidy DOM — the groundwork the page builder either helps or hinders.

A lab score of 100 is a strong signal, not a magic certificate.
